Do I understand this one correctly?
If the main wheel spins with the clock, the wheel at the bottom left would spin counter clockwise.
However, the wheel at the bottom right would then spin clockwise … if it only could … But it can’t because the big wheel spins clockwise.
So: nothing is moving! Or: wheels are breaking.
Yup, that would be innovation per big government for ye!
Hi Sam — I made a comment, but it didn’t go through.
You may ignore the comment though if you find it as it was about the wheels spinning and the department of innnovation since this department is from the Smithonian Inst. and not the government. Still, pretty stupid. Incredible no one noticed such an error. It has since been changed, but it still is not a great logo. Ed said the wheels in the logo are archaic anyway. Something more modern should have been depicted.
I like your site. Very clean and clear. A little politics in it to spice it up. Also nice. Of course, it helps that I personally agree with all of your political comments. — Peggy.
3 interlocking gears arranged in this fashion will not move in any direction. They are essentially locked in place. Which when you think about it, is a perfect analogy of today’s government!
innovation is good but only if that innovation fits correctly in the Machine called government
